Cookies policy

These make the site work and cannot be switched off: your sign-in session (so you stay logged in), and your saved preferences (like your cookie choice itself). They contain no advertising identifiers and are never shared.

No analytics cookie is set unless you agree to it. That is the promise, and the two tools keep it in different ways, so both are described here rather than lumped together.

Google Analytics tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. Its tag loads on every page, and until you accept it runs with storage switched off: it writes no cookie, keeps no identifier for you, and the little it reports back cannot be tied to a person or joined up across visits. If you accept, the same tag is switched on where it stands. If you decline, or never answer, it simply stays switched off.

PostHog shows us how features are actually used, and records anonymised session replays so we can fix confusing UI. It does not load at all until you accept, because a session replay cannot be done without recording, and there is no switched-off version of that worth offering. Replays hide everything you type: form fields and text inputs are masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we never see what you search for, your email address or your password. Declining changes nothing about what you can use on the site.

PostHog stores this data in the United States. If you turn analytics off again, both stop at once: PostHog stops recording and forgets the identifier it was using for you, and Google Analytics goes back to storing nothing.

No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social media pixels, no selling of browsing data.

Use Cookies Settings (also linked in the footer of every page) to change your choice; it takes effect from your next page load. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will break sign-in.
