How it works

   Describe the icon

   Name the object and any detail that matters: the angle, a colour, a companion piece. Specific requests produce better icons than vague ones.

   It joins the render queue

   Requests are rendered in the same pipeline as the rest of the library, so the result matches on lighting, angle and level of detail.

3. 3

   You get a link

   When it publishes you receive an email pointing at the new icon page, where it downloads as a transparent PNG like everything else.

Questions, answered

How much does a custom icon cost?

Nothing. Requested icons are free to download and free to use commercially, on the same licence as everything else in the library.

How long does it take?

Usually minutes. The request goes into the render queue, and you get an email with a link to the finished icon page as soon as it is published.

Will it match the icons I already downloaded?

Yes. Every icon is rendered with the same soft studio lighting, finish and level of detail, so a requested icon sits in a set with the rest without looking borrowed.

Do I need an account to request one?

An email address is enough, so the finished icon can be sent to you. Downloads themselves never need an account.

What can I ask for?

Any object, tool, animal, symbol or scene. Specific is better than vague: "vintage rotary telephone" produces a better icon than "phone". Requests for real people or trademarked logos are declined.
